erzeugte (in this context)

German to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation Vibration damping in turbine blades
From a figure description:
Darstellung des Magnetfeldes durch mehrere erzeugte und zueinander versetzt angeordnete und in Umfangsrichtung verteilte Magnete.

Assuming that "erzeugte" is referring to "Magnete", does this literally "generated", as opposed to being permanent magnets?

To all It would appear we are all in agreement that there is an error in the German wording. I will correct this as necessary.

Agree with Melanie....you have a field generated by an array of several permanent magnets ....

Qualität Die Tatsache, dass hier Figur anstatt Abbildung verwendet wird, srich auch nicht gerade für die Qualität des Textes!

Something went wrong here Since this is referring to Fig. 11, too, maybe the following sentence in your patent does make more sense.
In der Figur 11 ist schließlich ein Magnetfeld B zu sehen, das durch eine Überlagerung mehrerer Magnetfelder der einzelnen Magnete 5 zu sehen ist.

Melanle I had considered that because it would at least make sense. Failing all else, I will probably fall back on this and include a note for the client.

To me, it almost seems like the original sentence should read "Darstellung des Magnetfeldes erzeugt durch mehrere zueinander versetzt angeordnete...." "....the magnetic field generated by several...". Is that a possibility? I'm not an expert in engineering though.
