German term (edited): vom Pr�sident des Landgerichts �ffentlich bestellter und allgemein beeidigter �bersetzer

So, we've let you squirm long enough... ;-)

Using Edith's method, i.e. the ProZ Term Search, I come up with the following translation (just to show you how it can be done):

"Präsident des Landgerichts" = "chief presiding judge of the regional court" (see http://www.proz.com/kudoz/778580 )

"öffentlich bestellt und allgemein beeidigt" = "sworn and appointed (by the court)" (see http://www.proz.com/kudoz/93199 )

"Übersetzer" = "translator" (also see http://www.proz.com/kudoz/347311 )

"vom" = "by" (based on my gut feeling as a translator for this particular context) ;-)

If we put that all together, we get something like "translator sworn and appointed by the chief presiding judge of the regional court" - that should be good enough for general purposes of understanding what is written.

Next time you can try doing it this way (in addition to consulting dictionaries, other translation websites and even Google) and if - after all of that - you still have questions about it, they will more likely receive a timely answer here.

The translators here are among the most helpful I have ever encountered. But most (if not all) of the translators helping out on this site consider the above mentioned to be the steps that must be taken before assistance is sought (and rightfully so - doing the necessary research is a large part of any professional translator's job).
