Discussion

Michele Johnson Dec 4, 2014:
Cilian Cilian makes an excellent point.
Antje Matthaeus Dec 4, 2014:
I'd need to see the document to be sure. I'm quite certain that it means "translated into EUR", though, as you suggested. What that "it" is is for you to decide, having much greater insight into the context.
Sebastian Witte (asker) Dec 4, 2014:
Is paying foreign suppliers ...? If the company is paying foreign suppliers in foreign currency ... a very good take, only that they won't accept any receipts in any currency other than EUR. So ... maybe not, as plausible as it first seemed.
Antje Matthaeus Dec 4, 2014:
Difficult for me to say without seeing the whole document. If the company is paying foreign suppliers in foreign currency, this might also refer to the company's foreign currency holdigs, showing how much they are reduced by the payment.
Sebastian Witte (asker) Dec 4, 2014:
Thank you, Antje What do you mean by foreign currency holdings in this context? It's about paying the company's suppliers after all. Perhaps you meant supplier's claims in foreign currency translated to EUR? That would make sense to me.
Antje Matthaeus Dec 4, 2014:
euro value of (all) foreign currency holdings This is what it means. You might want to rephrase into sth. shorter to fit in the table.
Cilian O'Tuama Dec 3, 2014:
Have you thought about getting an ENS to translate these terms for you? Or do you just prefer to tackle them yourself?
Sebastian Witte (asker) Dec 3, 2014:
It really does say Valutabestand in EUR. It's not an OCR error.

foreign currency cash [equivalent]

foreign currency cash equivalent
oder
foreign currency cash

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. This one is over my head, sorry."

This is just how I would translate the term without really understanding the context.
