French term

effet rétro

French to English Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation Tennis

Hi all,

In the context of instructing/playing tennis, does anyone know what they mean by "imprimant un effet rétro"?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK, based on the discussion on the website above, it looks like the way the ball bounces back on itself given the spin of the ball. i.e. it can even bounce back into the court of the person playing the shot. Anyone know what this is in English?
