French term

clavardage numérique

Non-PRO French to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters online chat/help on insurance website
This is from a back translation (Canadian French back into English) of a customer satisfaction survey on insurance companies (auto and home). The original was most likely "live online chat". "clavardage" is fine for "online chat" but my question is about the "numérique". I can't find any reference anywhere with these two terms used together. It could very well be a mistake in the back translation. Could someone please verify whether or not you use "clavardage numérique" in Canada? and if so, could you verify that it does indeed mean "live online chat" or something else?

Live online chat
