French term
Mesure d'irradiation d'un fut plombe
French to English
Science
Energy / Power Generation
Mesure d'irradiation d'un fut plombe -- there should be an accent circonflexe over the "u" in "fut" and an accent aigue over the "e" in "plombe" -- copying and pasting isn't working right now. Again, for this one, no context, it is just mentioned in a list ...... The text is for an electricity company. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Cutting and pasting works for me!
<<Mesure d’irradiation d’un fût plombé>>
The picture thus captioned at http://www.edf.fr/fichiers/fckeditor/File/EDF-Nos-Energies/N...
shows a man with a meter beside the drum, so "mesure" here has to be not the value or level recorded by measuring but the action of measuring.

Oops, meant to say "lead-lined".

Comment: "Thank you. What I meant was that the copying and pasting was not working on my computer, not on the system. And as far as I know, there is no way to enter accents by typing into the quesiton boxes. Thank you Margaret, for your post!!

Lead is the material of choice for absorbing radiation, hence lead containers are used for keeping and transportingradioactive sources.

: Unless it's the action of measurement, not the value obtained.
