Hello,
Any ideas on the above? There's no more context than that, I'm afraid - I've just a huge long list of single words and similar phrases...it's a document to do with packaging specs for a major cosmetics firm. Any help most gratefully received!

Packaging: Cross Wrap Portfolio with 2 flaps [or ledges]
I've received books in packages where there are two pieces of cardboard wrapper around the book. One piece of cardboard wraps around the book from top to bottom and the other piece wraps around from side to side. But I don't know a name for that type of cardboard wrapper.
I did find a wrapper for cosmetic items called a cross wrap portfolio. In the ad that I found that the part of the package that serves as the ledges are called flaps. These flaps turn up and over the item inserted in the wrapper like a ledge. Your "trottoirs"/ledges may not be curved in your package but I think that flaps will still work.
As for GC20, that appears to be a part number for the material the portfolio is made of. I don't know if it for cardboard, plastic, or a laminate.
See the web sites for pictures.

Comment: "Wonderful, Claire! Thanks so much for all the info - I was trying to think of what you call those boxes Amazon send their books out in...I found 'cruciform box' which seemed to fit the best - thanks for setting me in the right direction!"
