French term

traitement au fil de l’eau des prestations

French to English Other Business/Commerce (general)
"L’évolution du métier suppose aussi un traitement au fil de l’eau des prestations en nature par opposition au mode batch qui prévaut actuellement et tend à trop séquentialiser le traitement."

Does anybody know what is meant by "traitement au fil de l’eau des prestations"!!!

I'm absolutely stuck! This sentence doesn't make any sense to me, its in the context of medical insurance!

Many thanks for any help!:)

French term (edited): ""traitement au fil de l’eau des prestations"

processing benefits in kind as they arise

The full phrase is "traitement au fil de l'eau des prestations en nature".

In insurance terms, "prestations" are benefits, and "prestations en nature" are benefits in kind.

"Au fil de l'eau" means as and when something occurs. This they are saying that these types of benefits should be dealt with as they arise rather than in batches.
