I'm at a loss to understand what this means. It's in an operation sheet detailling how to assemble various car parts. The word' rampe' appears in several phrases: 2 mousses étanchéité rampe, gâche de rampe, charnière de rampe. 'Rail' or 'ramp' doesn't seem appropriate here, and I don't understand what the '2 volets' are. Any ideas? Thanks.

I can imagine that just as when car doors are opened, the inside lights come on, and it should be checked that they go out when the platform is closed. It would be hinged, and probably has a device for locking it in the closed position.
