French term

mon bonheur divague (paragraph 2)/ Rien de toi ne se dérobe (par. 4)

Non-PRO French to English Art/Literary
This is the complete text:

Dis rien, dis rien, on s'aime
C'est ça le vrai poème
Et je me sens si bien
Mon corps noyé au tien

Je suis comme dans une vague
Où mon bonheur divague
C'est si profond, profond
Je me sens couler au fond

Dis rien, les mots sont bêtes
Quand on n'est pas poète
Ce sont des bulles qui crèvent
Les mots, ça tue les rêves

Mes mains jouent sur ta robe
Rien de toi ne se dérobe
Dans mes deux bras fermés
Laisse-moi, laisse-moi t'aimer

Dis rien, dis rien, mon âme
Tes yeux ont comme une flamme
Les mots sont tous les mêmes
Dis rien, dis rien, je t'aime

Je ne sais plus où nous sommes
Tu es femme et moi - un homme
Et si l'on meurt de ça
Je veux mourir cent fois... cent fois... cent fois
Cent fois

It doesn't have to rhyme ;) I'm actually looking for the translation of "divague" and "ne se drobe" in this context.... So I prefer a more literal translation

where my happiness ROAMS Nothing of you is REVEALED

no poetics here
just the idea
Peer comment(s):

neutral William Stein : "se derober" is to hide oneself, but other than that...

floating on the waves,
where my happiness raves

I caress your dress's folds
where your nakedness unfolds
Peer comment(s):

agree Elisabeth Toda-v.Galen : she still has her dress on !! you're a bit too hasty ...

In the figurative sense, of course...
agree Luis Orueta : man, this sounds like a cheesy Whitman

OK, if William can make it rhyme, then I might as well have a go too:

Tossed high in a salted kiss
A giddy wave of endless bliss

My hands upon your cotton dress
Lost unto your heart's caress

Went off tangent a bit ... I really should get out more!
Peer comment(s):

agree Luis Orueta : yeah, real nice, real nice... party hardy dude... just add some juicy spice... to your odd, odd mood

Nice one, Luis!
