I am currently translating a health and safety report specifically on noise reduction and the prevention of risks associated with aircraft noise preflight for flight crew and ground crew. I have encountered this phrase "plein carburant" on three occasions, and it's most obvious translation (full fuel, or variants thereof) does not seem to fit.
I am an amateur flying enthusiast so I do consider myself as knowing something about aircraft and flying them (which I also have some experience in), but this is something I am really not sure about - so any people with some real experience in the field or translation experience please do pass on your wisdom! (It's probably something very obvious!)
These are the three contexts it appears in:

Case 3: choosing a grade of fuel? Is there really a choice? Hybrid aircraft?

maybe "refuelling setting" works here?

Note from asker:
Refuelling works in two of the contexts (and was something I considered), but what about "la sélection du plein carburant"?? - this implies that you select something; change the setting on a switch for example. |
Perhaps refuelling setting. I wondered perhaps about different fuel tanks, or just selecting to use the fuel that has just been put in the aircraft. Also, it cannot be a hybrid aircraft - it's a standard jet engine - a BAe 146 RJ85. |

The terms in parentheses appear to be examples of "operations performed" by the ground personnel. A "plein" is a "fill-up," so I'd say fueling. ("Refueling," as mentioned by others above, would be okay too.)
