(a) In the Practical grade examinations 100 are required to achieve a Pass, 120 to pass with Merit, and 130 for Distinction, out of a possible 150 marks, with the exception of Practical Musicianship where gradings, rather than marks, are awarded and grade C is required to Pass, B to pass with Merit and A for Distinction, and Ensembles where grade C or above is required to achieve a successful result.
