chimney stack

Ma and Grandma didn't speak to each other for the next several days. If Grandma wanted to say something to ma, she used me as a transmitter. "Dolor, tell the chimney stack my cousin is having gall bladder problems again"

What does it means when Grandma call ma "Chimney Stack".

chimney stack

Without havig the rest of the story, I think that it means that ma smokes like a chimney stack. Ma must have been a smoker, perhaps a very heavy smoker at that (cigarettes or pipe).

agree john mason : It could have something to do with height, but not here, I think.

Yes, I thought of height too, but I thought I'd try this first. I used to be called a chimney stack when I was in grammar school... :-(
