The forces which prevail in a race are determined on the basis of mathematical and experimental analysis, whereupon the structure is optimized -- similar to Formula 1 racing. The objective is to achieve a maximum shift of weight from the hull of the yacht to the bulb, which is located more than four meters under the surface of the water.
