I´m translating a short text of a not for profit organisation which includes a time table for events for children. Most events have two dates, a normal one, say Feb 16, and a "snowdate", which is always de day after (Feb 17).
I have never heard of snowdate in my life, and although I can guess what it refers to, I´m not sure if there is an accepted translation into Spanish. I guess this is an US expression, not used in the UK.

Hi,
I believe the term snowdate is used for make-up dates or alternative dates in case the people involved can't assist (usually due to weather). I've seen it as rain or snow date, also.
I asked for more context so the term could be more specific, that is, for exams it would be "recuperacion" but I believe the term "fecha alternativa" fits in the text.
