Hola,
Estoy con un extra de una película en la que hablan de armas del oeste americano y aparecen términos que no termino de encontrar como este que nos ocupa.
Al buscar "flashgun" o "flash gun" (no estoy segura porque es texto sacado de pantalla) las referencias a puntan a pistolas flash, tipo las que detectan la velocidad, pero no se refiere a esto.
El fragmento dice:
"In one of the decisions we made early on, was to give them a flash gun and we called it the hand of God. And that sort of flows back into that story of Ben reading the Bible and what’s stuck in his mind from reading the Bible, and he believes that there is some sort of curse on this gun"
¿Qué os parece que pueda ser?

Se me ocurre que "flash" en este caso puede significar algo ostentoso, en plan fardón. Según esta acepción del Oxford: adjective informal
1 (of a thing) ostentatiously expensive, elaborate, or up to date: a flash new car.
Más que nada porque luego menciona que la llaman "la mano de Dios", así que supongo que será bastante imponente. En todo caso, es una suposición. Habría que ver las imágenes y el contexto.

: The car reference would be '...flashY new car', but 'flash money' is a large wad of bills, carried without intending to spend it; the person leaves it in his wallet for others to see when he pays for something, to show he's well-off.
