Hi!
I´m translating the set of instructions of an Induction Hob and it says the following:
"The electronic Touch Control is activated by eans of the ON/OFF button and switches from the OFF mode to the Standby mode. To do so it is necessary to press the ON/OFF button for 1 second. A short Beep will be heard. When in standby, “0” is displayed on the display of the cooking zone. This display may go into background due to a residual heat or error signal"
What does "go into background" mean?

: Coincido. Hablar de "segundo plano" tendría sentido en un monitor, pero en este caso es un simple exhibidor, por tratarse de un aparato para cocinar. En cuanto a la otra opción propuesta, si "se apagase" no dirían "into background" sino "OFF".

This usually happens when another program or application 'steals' the focus
from the active window. Have you tried to determine which program is
responsible?
One thing you can do is install the free Tweak UI utility from Microsoft.
Once installed, open TweakUI and select General / Focus and place a check
next to "Prevent applications from stealing focus
