This term is part of a Material Safety Data Sheet. I found some relevant information on the following webpage- http://livingearth.net/products-sand-gravel-bank-sand where it says that bak sand is used in volleyball courts.
Some more context: All grades of silica, lake or bank sand.
Translation: Todos los grados de arena de sílice, lago o playa.
Is "arena de playa" the correct translation?
