English to Spanish Art/Literary Botany

I found this phrase in a short story and I really don't know if it is a secial kind of bush. I couldn't find the term "sweetsuds" anywhere. Here is the context:
"She found, in addition to various common but pretty ferns and leaves, an armful of strange blue flowers with velvety ridges and a sweetsuds bush full of the brown, fragant buds."
