6. Why do we expect the manager’s manager (supervisor) to complete the assessment if the manager has less than three direct reports?
Having the supervisor complete the assessment when the manager has less than three direct reports provides the manager with additional feedback and helps preserve the anonymity of the manager’s direct reports. It also provides the organization with a standard tool for assessing the manager’s performance that is consistent across the other managers *that report into him/her as well as providing a common and consistent assessment and methodology to assess managers for on the key accountabilities of manager effectiveness across X.
