unions
Это учебный курс для студентов университетов по специальности "управление трудовыми ресурсами" (HRM)
One of the goals of a union is to gain power, which is largely dependent on the size of union membership. Through that power, unions offer union workers higher wages and benefits, greater job security, and influence over work rules. Employees often will join unions for the preceding reasons and/or due to their dissatisfaction with the way the organization treats its employees.
We will review labor legislation as well as the steps necessary to form a union, the advantages and disadvantages of collective bargaining, and critical issues facing unions today. In some forms of unions (agency and open shop), employees have the choice of joining the union or not. We will consider both the advantages and disadvantages of union membership.
Finally, we must consider international labor relations. Every country is different, and HRM in global organizations regarding labor relations is often complex. Each country has its own unique history regarding union formation, but most countries have felt the impact of unions in one way or another. The European community, for example, has more than a dozen different labor relations systems.
