Nu sînt cilindri pentru că aceștia nu au cum fi deformați la rece fiind prea mari. Pot fi numai profile trase la rece, după ce mai întîi au fost laminați la cald cilindrii în profile cu secțiune mai mică, în așa fel încît să permită tragerea la rece prin filiere.
