English term

fork and join nodes

English to Portuguese Tech/Engineering Computers: Systems, Networks
The FORK and JOIN nodes let you define parallel flows, i.e. flows that may be performed simultaneously. You can define several parallel flows in the DECISIONAL node, though only one can be run: the one which satisfies the condition expressed in the same node. Instead in this case all the parallel flows are run, as a consequence the URA may assume more than one state of the Workflow simultaneously.
The creation of parallel flows implies the entry of the FORK node as initial bifurcation of the flows, and the entry in the JOIN node as final collector of the flows.
Therefore the feature of the FORK node is to activate several transactions simultaneously, which consist in its outward arcs.
The state transition from the previous node to the FORK node takes place by presenting to the user the arc that leads to the FORK, which starts the transaction directly from the PLANNING states on all the parallel flows. Therefore the URA nodes assumes more workflow states simultaneously. Any automatic node present is performed, and the state assumed will be the first PLANNING node in the parallel flows.
Instead the feature of the JOIN node is that of joining the inward arcs, by closing all the transactions of the parallel flows and passing the state to the one after the JOIN node. Leaving the JOIN node can be configured with various policies that are set in the property:
