Dipl.-Ing. / DI Diplomingenieur
Hi Rie,
Some ideas...
1. Looks like an Austrian abbreviation of an academic title (Diplomingenieur) for a science postgraduate.
see
http://haardt.net/studyinat.htm
2. Alternatively, in according to the same wwww site "A Ph.D. in law ("Dr. iur.") is also available, and may be necessary for advanced professional positions " So, your DI could be an abbreviation of ("*D*r. *i*ur.").
One or the other, a patent attorney would be qualified in both law & science/engineering.
Hope this helps.

Has yet another title of this person ("Mag") if the same individual. Perhaps the Belgium office contact/listing could assist you if critical.
Cheers :)

DIというのが各国共通なのか特定の国の特定の資格(学歴)や職種なのかの見極めが必要かなと感じた次第です。
