Secondo me la tua interpretazione è corretta, in particolar modo visto che subito dopo parla di "coupon date" (data in cui viene staccato/corrisposto il coupon/la cedola).
Per quanto riguarda la resa in italiano, puoi optare per qualcosa di stringato tipo "coupon sull'indice" o per una perifrasi tipo: "coupon/cedola staccata/relativa all'indice" o "corrisposta sull'indice".
Se hai altro contesto, e vuoi postarlo, posso vedere se riesco a fare delle ricerche più approfondite. Per il momento ti ricopio un paio di siti inglesi dove "index coupon" viene utilizzato proprio con il significato di "coupon/cedola sull'indice":
