Czech term

přiznaný trám

Czech to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering construction
Dobrý den,
nemůžu se dopátrat, jak přeložit slovíčko "přiznaný" v oboru stavebnictví, např. přiznaný trám.
Mohl by mi někdo pomoci?
Předem děkuji.
Veronika

visible beam

or "uncovered"

Tady to znamená, že trám je vidět, že není úmyslně ničím zakrytý.

agree Scott Evan Andrews : I wish I could revoke my answer, alas, you are indeed right Honza...but there's Czech for you...why not just call it visible "viditelny tram, ci nekryty"??

Thanks Scott! :-) To be honest, I do not know :-) "Priznat, priznany..." is frequently used in building industry.

that it has been approved (certified) for use in building the given structure based on standards - there are many types of "trámy", most commonly used would be beam...
Peer comment(s):

disagree Jan Kolbaba : hi Scott, I am sorry, but it has a different meaning
