Hanbon/Hanbang

It seems that there are a few companies with the name 汉邦. It is not necessarily the case that the company will opt for a simple pinyin transliteration of their name. They will sometimes modify the transliteration, probably as a way to distinguish themselves from other companies with the same Chinese name. For example, 江苏汉邦科技有限公司, has translated their name as "Hanbon Sci. and Tech", while 北京汉邦高科数字技术股份有限公司 has opted for a simple pinyin transliteration, "HANBANGGAOKE". Since I do not know which 汉邦 company you are referring to, I cannot give you a specific suggestion as to which is more appropriate. If a transliteration already exists on the company's website such as "Hanbon", I would use that to maintain consistency. However, if no such translation exists, I would stick with the more direct "Hanbang", unless otherwise directed by your client.

I cannot think of other words that you could put in there aside from the direct pinyin transliteration. Humble is a pretty good one in terms of how well it matches the Chinese name. However, I feel like it creates somewhat of a contradiction because you are directly declaring in the name that the company is "humble", yet such a direct declaration seems the opposite of humble. So, even though humble is a complementary term, it does not seem to fit in this context. If you called the company "Hanbang Chemical Co., Ltd." or something to that effect, I think that would work just fine.

谢谢您的回答.汉邦是一个新公司,新的化工企业,有没有其他的音译词来翻译“汉邦”,比如humble,首先当然要保证是一个褒义词。
thank you very much

汉邦 means Chinese nation

By historic context, it means China, Chinese nation or China's state

neutral daniel_healy : While this is true, translating a company name this way does not seem appropriate. Generally a direct pinyin transliteration or a modified one would be used.
