I think the key word here is سرعان
هل معنى سرعان هنا أنهم سقطوا بسرعة خلال وقت قصير بعد بداية المباراة...أم المقصود أنهم سقطوا فجأة أو دون توقع أن يحدث ذلك بعد أن صمدوا لفترة طويلة هي 72 دقيقة من عمر المباراة...هذا متروك لرأي الزملاء.

I think the key word here is سرعان

: totally agree. سرعان here is used improperly, the writer means "suddenly" or "all at once". that's why Dana didn't make sense of it, i think.
