I'm tranlating a Certificate of Matriculation from Ecuador. It is signed by El Secretario and "El Director de Oude". I cannot figure out what "Oude" means. Never seen it before. Thanks for any help. Ida

I couldn't find Oude anywhere either. Could it possibly be the name of the school or a corporation? In that case it would remain the same, of course.
Hope this is of some help! SUERTE!

de Oude
In Dutch "de oude" literally means "the old one" or "the old man".
But when you say " Meneer de Oude " or " Dr. de Oude" it is a last name i.e. " Mr de Oude" or " Dr. de Oude" respectively. So, possibly, el Director de Oude is simply the directors name.
On the Dutch website given below, you will find - at the very bottom of the web page mention of a Mr. de Oude who, coincidentally, is also involved in education.

A long shot but a good shot, no lo crees?
