English term
defer to
English to French
Law/Patents
Divorce Act:
"Province B and Spouse 1 has applied in Prov. A or C and custody is contested and child has real and substantial connection with another province –> Proceedings should be transfered to other province. The first in time and Federal Court options under S. 4(2)(3) DEFER TO THE S. 6 TRANSFER."
I understand the general meaning (defer to = s'incliner devant) but I don't know the exact legal terminology that should be used.
Thanks for any help!

cession judiciare (Transfer )
only DEFER would mean suspendre but
"defer to" means to leave the decision/judgement to another person/court.
Simply it is transfer . Transfer of an action from the juristiction of a court to the juristiction of another..
"renvoi de l'instructions et du judgement a un autre tribunal "
or cession judiciare
