Russian term

взаимная когнитивная связь

Russian to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature science fiction
I need some help with the term взаимная когнитивная связь as I have never heard this used before.

Here's the context:

Я, как и большинство, знала об этом по рассказам — мое подключение не было пересечением. Имело место лишь считывание Богиней информации с моего мозга, не было соединения с взаимной когнитивной связью. А ведь есть люди, хоть их еще довольно мало, которые находятся в пересечении с Ней постоянно или почти постоянно!

This is very difficult so I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance so much for your help!

intercognitive exchange https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Intra-cognitive-and-inte...

What a nightmarish bulls**t to translate, sorry...
комментарий к исходному сухо айтишному тексту when read in Russian, the text "с взаимной " will sound like "ззаимной" (borrow cognitive exchange) [to avoid this and switch over to "reciprocal", adding "o" is usually recommended, "сО взаимной"] hth
I suggest “convergence” for пересечение It does seem like this would fit your context better. IMHO

Two-way cognitive link

Just another suggestion. David’s is perfectly good too, in my opinion.
Peer comment(s):

agree David Knowles : I like "two-way" better - it seems to fit the sci-fi context

agree Marina Golovanevsky : I like 'two-way cognitive link'. Sounds better to me

mutual cognitive link/connection

This depends a little on how you decide to translate пересечение, but I think I would keep "cognitive" and probably "mutual".

These are interesting questions...
Note from asker:
David, thank you very much for your advice! "Interesting" is a good way of putting it, almost too interesting.

context based variant

Based on your context i would put "one-way (passive) connection / link" because, as i see it, author wants to emphasize the point of lacking two-way communication link/connection.

cognitive bond

Perhaps "cognitive bond"? The text conveys a sense of intimacy and 'bond' seems to me to be more expressive of this than either 'link' or 'connection'
