Sorry, David, I am still not very sure about this. Another thing that comes to my mind now is that maybe they don't want to take on any "obligation" or "responsibility"... But this is just another guess.

explanation for Sundari What I mean is that the loan agreement spells out the entire terms and conditions of the loan. This is in normal fonts. The footer is semi-faded, at the bottom of every page, and just says "ohne unser Obligo". I've sent in the document already (last night) and left this in German but I'm still curious why this phrase is there...
