This is a term used by those who mainly work as jewelers. "طلای ساخته شده" refers to jewelry made in any way. It is used as opposed to سکه and طلای آب شده. These are the three main things sold at an Iranian jewelry shop. Yet, "gold products" includes the other two categories as well. So, "gold jewelry" is a better choice, as it doesn't allow for ambiguities ("gold coin" is still a "gold product").
