English term (edited): score at or near the top

My suggestion above is self-explanatory, but I would like to address one more point in the text. The expression "world national rankings" is a bit confusing, especially when translated with the same word order. It leaves the reader unclear whether the rankings are world rankings or national rankings. Of course, these rankings are lists of nations ranked according to certain criteria. They are not national rankings, but rather rankings of nations of the world. For this reason, I would recommend:
". . . score at or near the top of world national rankings in . . ."
يحرزون أرقى (أو أعلى) المراتب أو يكادون في القوائم العالمية لترتيب الأمم (أو الدول) في مجالات ... إلخ
أو يحرزون أرقى (أو أعلى) المراتب أو يكادون في قوائم التصنيف العالمية للأمم (أو للدول) في مجالات ... إلخ
أو يحرزون أرقى (أو أعلى) المراتب أو يكادون في التصنيفات العالمية للأمم (أو للدول) في مجالات ... إلخ
