Italian term

asse TC

Italian to English Medical Medical: Cardiology
Angiogram performed on patient with stenosis.

"stenosi critica (70-80%) al tratto prossimale del RCX (a valle dello stent) e stenosi critica (70%) all'ostio del tronco comune -> PTCA/3xDES [redacted] sull'asse TC-RCX prossimale;"

I know that TC is LCA and looking at the earlier part of the sentence, I'm tempted to put "ostium" as a translation for "asse" but would love to know the opinion of others!

@Asker With all due respect, I may say that you are efficiently pursuing a path to put anyone off who is willing to help you on proz.com.
Joseph Tein Feb 15, 2019:
asse I use "system" whenever I come across this term in the context of blood vessels.

One example found online: "The left coronary artery system branches into the circumflex artery and the left anterior descending artery."
Fiona Grace Peterson Feb 15, 2019:
Research Since you seem to be familiar with the vessels involved, you need to do some research on this area of the heart, look for imaging studies and procedures done to find the right terminology, terminology that physicians use when referring to the condition described in your report.
