French term
chasse
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Petroleum Eng/Sci
This appears in some terms and conditions for a petroleum product pipeline network. I really have no idea what it means. Can anybody shed any light?
Par ailleurs, les contraintes de l'exploitation peuvent amener *company* à expédier ou à livrer des quantités inférieures aux volumes minima indiqués en annexe 4, tel est le cas notamment des bouchons de carburéacteur et des chasses.
Merci

pigging
Pipelines are maintained using an operation called "pigging", which uses "pigs" that travel through the pipeline. A series of pigs with a cleaning fluid moves down the pipeline to separate deliveries of different products. This train of pigs and fluid takes up a certain amount of space which displaces the total volume of product delivered.

flushes
'flush', as in' chasses d'eau', might fit the context, but only a guess, I'm afraid
