inoltre nelle diciture quali Green Witness Cal ecc. la sintesi è d'obbligo

Secondo me qui usa "witness mark" impropriamente. Il Marolli dice che "witness mark" corrisponde a "testimonio" e si usa nelle lavorazioni meccaniche, e non è questo il caso. Lo considero semplicemente "mark".

Allego un link dove viene usato "witness mark" tradotto come "tacca". Forse meno elegante delle alternative proposte dai colleghi ma sicuramente non dà origine ad ambiguità ed è sintetico.
