Spanish term

llamamiento de autos

Suerte.

Saludos.

disagree Jennifer Levey : The ST, as quoted, is in perfectly good Spanish (fs. = 'fojas'). And in Spanish, "autos" refers to the case file ('expediente'), not to mere "records".

disagree Jennifer Levey : That's most certainly not what the ST means. "llamamiento de autos" (often abridged simply to "autos") refers to the point in the proceedings where the judge "calls time" on the debate and retires to chambers to make a decision.

Seems you cannot keep the red pencil in your pocket every time a llamado de autos is involved... :) Without further Freudian elaborations: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/law_general/598... ... *sigh*
disagree Robert Carter : Keeping it simple, then, Robin's feedback above makes more sense. I would call this the "opening of the deliberative stage". See "Art. 382" here http://tinyurl.com/y8gh748j

Robert, try to keep it exclusively technical... But if somehow you feel a sudden urge to express your feelings (either genuine or commissioned) about a closed question, kindly send me a message instead. And I might read it with care. Cheers.
