English term

our network rocks now

English to French Other IT (Information Technology) Marketing/IT
“XXX brought us the capacity to deliver Wi-Fi services to our population of fans in the venue all at the same place and same time, our network rocks now", concluded Y.

I think it might mean "it is a success" but rather check with you...I also found "ça le fait, ça déchire"...but it is too familiar in the context.
Thanks for your help

my two cents/pence worth "XXX rocks" is not confined to a rock music/band etc type of context, just in case that was the impression you got. "you rock" = " you're wonderful, you're great, you're(a) star" etc..... I personally see nothing wrong with "ça déchire", insofar as it is someone's actual words.
Ronan Salon Jul 29, 2016:
I think the person speaking is a rock star hence the use of "it rocks". You just need to adapt the translation to the "level of rock" of the band ;)

Remporter (rencontrer) un franc succès/ Notre réseau assure !

Bonjour,

Je suis plutôt d'accord avec vous, la notion de succès existe bel et bien.
Je vous suggère cette expression qui peut rendre assez bien cette notion de réussite et de succès.
Une autre possibilité est de dire "notre réseau assure !"
Bon courage.
