Exercise injects, bits of scenario specific information provided to participants, are inserted during these discussion periods.

My thinking: While in a different context (hospital), the idea is the same where "injects" are bits of scenario-specific information "interjected" to complete a simulation or exercise. "Reserve" seems to denote the idea of "back-up"/additional that may be used (but may not) in these situations.

Yo en tu lugar cambiaría el campo de tu pregunta, entiendo que el tema es aviación pero tu interrogante es más de gramática general; en otras palabras no se requiere ser experto en aviación para contestarla y es un poco más abierta para inglés general. (Por supuesto no es fácil pues "inject" como sustantivo no es común) El problema es que las preguntas de aviación las recibimos muy pocos y tendrías menos opciones de dónde escoger. Por supuesto no estoy descalificando la respuesta de Miguel, es sólo una sugerencia
