Italian to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s)
This is from a contract, in the recitals.

"Non esiste continuità aziendale tra le precedenti aziende Italiane legate alla *** (name of company) e *** (name of company)". I am not sure how to express this in English. I know going concern is one translation of the term but I don't think it fits here.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What is the history. As I read it, the author is saying that what is happening now, is different from what went on before. I arrive at this because "going concern" and "business continuity" in a disaster don't seem to fit the context. However, a good translation needs full understanding.

really need to know what is happening here What is the relationship between all the companies concerned here. Certainly isn't "going concern" and "business continuity" is a disaster management term.

Hello, yes I did, but to me I wasn't sure how going concern would fit or if you do say business continuity in English. I cant find any ghits, apart from "business continuity plan". Going concern I knew that as an accounting term.
To me, as a native English speaker, the phrase "there is no business continuity between the past companies" means little, but maybe that is just me!
