Jadi, dia 'orang dalam'; bagian dari sekolah, bukan 'orang luar' semacam pengawas -kiriman diknas setempat. Yang agak mirip, ada jabatan Guru Koordinator: guru senior yang diberi tambahan tugas dalam pembinaan guru pemula dan/atau mata pelajaran, pengembangan silabus dan/atau kurikulum, pengembangan kompetensi/profesionalisme guru, koordinasi dengan penyelia atau atasan (mis. wakil kepala sekolah/kepala sekolah), dll. Ada juga yang menyebut Koordinator Guru, khususnya berkenaan dengan tugasnya mengkoordinasi guru mata pelajaran. Hampir pasti ada banyak Koordinator Guru di satu sekolah, karena mata pelajarannya juga banyak.
