@virginia I think the fact that information can be "oral o escrita" would support the use of "media" ("a recording in magnetic format" just sounds odd to me).

@Jessica Yes, but the documents themselves can be in electronic or magnetic format, not only in paper/printed format (e.g. a PDF file). My interpretation is that "documentos" refers to printed docs (paper format).

By the way, further down "medios" should be translated as "means". This context makes it confusing.
