I've tracked Dr. Si-Chun Ming down on the Net: s/he is a Professor Emeritus of Pathology at Temple University. S/he is no longer listed on the faculty list, but I've e-mailed the current department chair, who will surely know which gender s/he was. Given the age, I'd bet that it's a man, however. There wouldn't have been that many women going into pathology during the years someone of that age would have trained.

There is nothing in the name to indicate gender. If it's a pathologist, one could guess that this is a man, but it could just as well be a woman.

: Agree. But by wild guess, it is possibly written as 石春明or史春明, so I am about 70% certain this is a man.
