Using rotor lock and pitching
Pitching of only one blade at a time is allowed. The other two blades have to be in feathering position (90° or -90°).

This is related to my other question regarding "pitch drive motor/pitch motor", and more will come to keep to the rule of one term per question...

Pitching is the process of regulating the angle of the turbine blades to influence the angle of attack of the wind on the blades. I have found "pitch" = "steek" in this helicopter glossary:

However, I don't know if it will fit here and am not sure how it would be used in a sentence or as a heading.

As mens van die 'pitch' van 'n vliegtuig se skroef praat, is dit 'steek' in Afr. Dit geld ook vir die 'pitch of a screw thread' - die steek van die skroefdraad, maw hoe 'skuins' die draad is. Hei het eintlik met bouwerk te doen en in Eng. is dit 'pile', bv. in 'pile driver'. Ek is nie seker hoe mens die werkwoord in Afr. sal vertaal nie. Ek stel voor dat jy die navraag ook op ZaLang sit. Daar is mense bedrywig wat jou antwoord sal ken.

Comment: "Jip, after researching based on the answers I found out that "hei", although correct for "pitch", means the pitch movement when the plane itself "rolls, yaws and pitches" around its XYZ-axes. When it refers to the propeller/blades, it is indeed "steek". As the text basically always means the "pitch control" when it talks about pitching, I used "steekbeheer" for headings where "stel die steekhoek" or such would not work, and threw in the "hoek" where needed in sentences to prevent the unintentionally funny sentences that "steek" could cause! :-D"
