Wind turbines
Large wind turbines are equipped with pitch drive motors that provide pitch control at each blade root.
"Pitch drive motor" and "pitch motor" are used alternately in the text, guess in Afrikaans one can also leave the "drive" bit out to prevent a very long and clumsy composite noun. I have found "pitch" = "steek" in this helicopter glossary:
http://www.docstoc.com/docs/70154149/English-Afrikaans-Gloss...
I also understand what is meant, it is the motor that regulates the "pitch" of the rotor blades and thus the angle of attack of the wind on the blades, but would that then simply be a "steekmotor" in Afrikaans?
I also found this English-Dutch KudoZ discussion in which "hellingshoek" is used for pitch. That also sounds like a plausible translation to me... Does anyone have experience with rotor blades and what these kind of motors would be called in the field in Afrikaans?
Thanks in advance for any tips and suggestions!

Die hoek waarteen die lemme in die wind insny, word die steekhoek genoem. Dit bepaal hoe vinnig die lemme draai.

Comment: "Thanks to both of you! "Hei" is apparently correct for the context of the aircraft rotating around its principal axes, so am adding that to my vocab for future reference, but apparantly for propeller blades it is indeed "steek". "

The three movements yaw, pitch and roll are translated by Cilliers's technical dictionary as gier, hei and rol (they all occur in a single lemma, so I'm dead certain about context). Terblanche's technical dictionary confirms the translation of "hei" for pitch.
The Dutch for the pitch movement according to the Wikipedia is "stamp". Compare the three animated GIFs here:
