Dis hoekom ek dit met "voorgenome gebruik" vertaal het. My vertaling gaan egter meer oor die veiligheidsaspekte, soos wanneer die windturbine met ys bedek is, of die windspoed te hoog is, ens.

Thanks for the suggestions so far! "Bedoelde gebruik" looks good, as it is a heading, I would like to avoid a long write-around. To me "voorgenome gebruik" sounds a bit like "planned use", it is not clear who is doing the "voorneem", and could be what the user would like to do with it, for instance in these matches:

"Maar soos met alle installasies, is dit die moeite werd om jou voorgenome gebruik te bespreek met 'n kundige verteenwoordiger van die vervaardiger." (http://www.tcnatile.com/af/faqs/63-steam-rooms.html)

Or:

As jy onseker is of u voorgenome gebruik van die Diens toelaatbaar is, kontak ons asseblief.(http://news.google.com.af.mk.gd/intl/en/terms_google_news.ht...

The "intended use" is what the designer "intended it to be used for", independent of what the buyer might like to do with it. So I can imagine it would be possible that a user might have to check if his "voorgenome gebruik" is within the scope of the "intended use"

Am favouring "bedoelde gebruik" at the moment, I also found some government documents where it is used by the Department of Agriculture, but ideas/comments would still be appreciated!
