As I understand your extract, the purchases in question are being described as relating to the "ruptures de vie". I admit that I fail to understand quite what sort of rupture is being referred to. In any event, I do not read it with the term "achat de rupture de vie" but rather as if it read "achat qui correspond à des ruptures de vie". Perhaps the first part of your sentence might help, or perhaps I am just not getting it!

Might the following suggestion work???

This extract could be talking of perishable goods or trendy products.

"Rupture de vie" could well here mean "fin de vie commerciale forcée" in other words "Obsolete"
