Any dentists out there?
I would like to know if there is a correct term for impressions made with two different materials as you can see on this page (blue and salmon):

One material (salmon) is more fluid, so reproduces the details better.
I have seen "double-layer impression" but am not convinced this is the correct term.

O nome em português é o mesmo que você usou, MOLDE/MOLDAGEM ou IMPRESSÃO (são sinônimos).
O material utilizado é uma SILICONA DE ADIÇÃO.
A moldagem da foto foi feita em UMA FASE, com o material leve e pesado inserido em uma única etapa. A moldeira foi carregada com os dois materiais e inserida na boca.
Este mesmo material pode ser utilizado em DUAS FASES, quando se molda primeiro com o material pesado (ou denso), promovendo um alívio com um filme plástico (para propiciar espaço para o material leve). Neste caso a moldeira vai ser inserida duas vezes na boca.
E a moldagem é de toda a Arcada. MOLDAGEM TOTAL DA ARCADA.
Poderia ser somente dos dentes preparados e envolvidos na futura prótese, neste caso uma MOLDAGEM PARCIAL DA ARCADA.
Para esta moldagem foi construída uma MOLDEIRA INDIVIDUAL DE ACRÍLICO.
Esta moldagem vai ser vazada (preenchida) por gesso pedra tipo IV. O modelo de gesso vai ser chamado MODELO DE TRABALHO, com o qual o laborátorio irá fazer a prótese dental.
Portanto esta moldagem pode ser chamada também de MOLDAGEM DE TRABALHO.
