This is an official industrial way of saying this:

"This term is similar to CFR but the difference is that it is used for any type of shipping, including multimodal shipping, not exclusively maritime shipping. This term requires the seller to clear goods for export, then pay for carriage and delivery to the port of destination named by the buyer where the costs/risk become the buyer’s when the goods change hands to the first carrier."

incoterms equivalences

This source suggests "FOB" is the equivalent of "franco de port"; however it may be worth comfirming that this is the correct interpretation of "franco" alone.
